Hotel Los Arcos is a very successful hotel founded and administrated by “Fundación Familias Unidas”, a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide vocational training to young adults in order to help them find employment. As a result the hotel and restaurant, which were completely constructed by brickwork students from the foundation’s training center, provide an interactive classroom for hotel and restaurant management students. With the assistance of the school leadership, students run all of the day-to-day operational tasks and in turn, provide customers with a comfortable, cozy, and pleasant place to stay while in Estelí. All of the profits generated from the hotel go towards the funding of other “Fundacion Familias Unidas” projects. All 32 rooms are comfortably furnished and come fully equipped with ensuite bathroom, hot water, and cable TV. Guests can unwind in the terrace area. In addition, Vuela Vuela, the garden cafe-bar-restaurant, provides guests with a quiet and pleasant atmosphere to enjoy a national or Spanish style dish.

- - Hotel Finca Neblina del Bosque -
Finca Neblina del Bosque is a working farm located in the Miraflor Reserve that allows guests the opportunity to experience traditional farm life in a beautiful setting without sacrificing modernday comforts.
Guests sleep in cabins constructed of bamboo that provide amazing panoramic views of the farm. In addition, the farm serves up fresh vegetarian cuisine, all of which is either produced on site or grown locally in the nearby community. Visitors should be ready to come into contact with horses, chickens, goats, pigs, and other domestic animals. The farm is run and operated by Isabel and Eduardo, a friendly Nicaraguan/German couple who will make you feel right at home.
Guests of the farm can hike the trails, head out on an expedition with biologists who specialize in orchids and birds, go horseback riding, or spend their time taking Spanish classes from a local teacher. If you come during harvest season, January – March, you can also learn about the process of harvesting organic coffee.
